Tyler is an education and migration practitioner who has worked collaboratively with various displaced communities in Canada, the UK and Germany. She’s worked as a refugee community welfare advocate, immigration adviser and head of youth services, as well as a public and voluntary sector consultant. She has extensive experience designing and delivering services in collaboration with migrant young people, training teachers and other practitioners on strategies for supporting newly arrived young people, and developing participatory learning programmes.

Tyler founded Springboard in response to the immense budget cuts to the education sector that have left many schools ill-equipped to provide the holistic support necessary for refugee and asylum-seeking young people to thrive. She is passionate about providing young people with the opportunities, skills and tools to push boundaries and make big contributions to their communities and the world at large.
