   Newman Catholic College is a Catholic school in the London Borough of Brent that has been awarded Refugee Welcome School status by Citizens UK and the National Union of Teachers. It is the first secondary school in London to be recognised formally for its humanitarian and restorative work with refugees, asylum seekers and unaccompanied minors. Newman Catholic College is delighted and honoured to work as partners with Springboard Youth Academy this summer to address the imperative here on our doorsteps of improving the educational chances and wellbeing of newly arrived refugees to the North London area.

 Syria Summer Camp provides an opportunity over the summer for the wide school community to show it has a sacred heart and live out its Catholic faith with love in action. Offering a home of learning and emotional support to 70 children and families primarily from the war-torn Middle East, it shows these families that British people have open hearts and kind responses to those in need.

 Phosphoros Theatre is an Applied Theatre company aiming to share untold stories and unheard voices. Their first production,  Dear Home Office,  involved a cast of 8 refugee young men. It was performed at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe, followed by 8 sell-out shows in London, and was shortlisted for the 2016 Amnesty Freedom of Expression Award. They are currently working on their second show,  Dear Home Office: Still Pending.
